The most helpful intervention for a relationship in crisis is an intensive couples retreat session.
This allows me time in which I will quickly assess the generally complex issues you are facing. I also have the time to address the most urgent fixes that need to occur to halt your slide toward marital disaster. If you want to know how to save a marriage this is the fast track.
I can then help you devise the necessary steps each of you need to take in order to avoid separation and divorce. I am a great believer in momentum for results and as such have no interest in the ‘therapeutic hour’ approach.
If you’d like me to reconnect your couple then here are your options.
Stop Your Divorce
This 2 day intensive is for couples who live too far away to keep attending sessions with me on an ongoing basis or are in desperate trouble. It allows for a thorough understanding of the dynamic you’re locked into and the work that must happen in order to break out of the years of anger and resentment. We will move your relationship skills from the disaster track to the master track in the shortest possible time. If you’re looking for an urgent fix then this is your best option.
Half Day Intensive
This session is three hours in duration. Many couples in crisis schedule one of these as a starting point for continued work with me. This is an essential intervention if you’re recovering from an affair or one of you has announced you’re leaving the relationship.
Many couples schedule several of these within a short period of time to enable a sense of progress and continued momentum. This is my preferred mode of marriage counselling as it allows time to integrate everything you’re learning.
Follow Up Couples Therapy
These are helpful for fine tuning the places where you still struggle with your dynamic, following an intensive. Over time the couple can begin to identify and stop their contributions to the faulty relationship dynamic.
Location: Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs
My relationship counselling office is in Bondi Beach, Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Personally I don’t think there’s a nicer place to get the support you’re looking for. You can explore the local cafes or even head to the beach for a swim in your breaks. I really do want to make this as painless as possible. If you’d like to know more then please get in touch.
